Job summary

Northumberland College is seeking a proactive Skills Development Coach to coordinate work placements for 16–18-year-olds in Early Years, Health and Sports sectors. The role is based at our Northumberland campuses with a permanent, full-time contract and a salary of £25,949 per annum.

• Experience of working with young people and adults in group settings.
• Good teamwork and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to engage with diverse educational backgrounds.
• Experience in a technical area relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create opportunities for students to practice technical and employability skills.
• Innovate in activities across the curriculum to ensure progress.
• Ensure students are work-ready with workplace skills.
• Plan, track and monitor work placements for all eligible students.
• Coordinate employer activity, events and projects, linking to work experience.
