Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is recruiting a Wellbeing Practitioner to work with young people across Oldham, delivering one-to-one and small group wellbeing support in the community and with home visits.

You will use therapeutic approaches to improve mental health and resilience, assess needs and develop personalised support plans, and collaborate with families, schools and external agencies, while maintaining safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Mental Health, Health & Social Care or Psychology.
• Experience in a therapeutic or wellbeing setting with young people and families.
• Strong assessment, planning and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel across the local area and own vehicle/access.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small group wellbeing support to young people.
• Use creative and therapeutic approaches to improve mental health and resilience.
• Assess needs and develop personalised support plans.
• Collaborate with families, schools and external agencies.
• Encourage engagement with services for education, employment or training.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding best practice.
