Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking a Wellbeing Practitioner to support young people aged 16-19 (up to 25 with EHCP) across Oldham in the community and via home visits. You will deliver one-to-one and small group wellbeing support, using therapeutic approaches to improve mental health and resilience.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification, experience with therapeutic settings, strong planning and communication skills, and a willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Mental Health, Health & Social Care or Psychology.
  • Experience supporting young people and families in a therapeutic or wellbeing setting.
  • Strong assessment, planning and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the local area.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group wellbeing support to young people.
  • Use creative and therapeutic approaches to improve mental health and resilience.
  • Assess needs and develop personalised support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies.
  • Encourage engagement with services that support progression into education, employment or training.
  • Maintain accurate records and safeguarding best practice.
