Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Complex Needs Practitioner to support young people aged 17–25 in Birmingham across the Transitions Team. You will work in the community and with partner agencies to identify goals, reduce risk and build essential life skills.

The role embraces a person-centred approach, with flexi working across services and referrals from health, social care, education and criminal justice. Salary reflects full earning potential within band.

Qualifications

• Experience within health or social care.
• Experience of working with young people and supporting mental ill health and/or substance misuse.
• Empathy, energy and belief in potential of young people to make positive changes.

Responsibilities

• Substance misuse and reducing associated risks.
• Mental and emotional health support for the young people.
• Homelessness and housing instability support and advocacy.
• Building resilience, independence and positive support networks.
