Job summary

Randstad Care in Inverness is seeking a passionate Support Worker to deliver bespoke, trauma-informed community support for young people outside residential settings.

You will build trust, implement de-escalation, and collaborate with families and care managers. PVG registration, a full UK driving licence preferred, and at least 2 years' relevant experience are required. Flexible ad hoc shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed care knowledge and approaches to support young people in crisis.
• De-escalation techniques to maintain safety and calm.
• Strong safeguarding acumen and boundary management.
• Active PVG registration or willingness to apply.
• Full UK driving licence with business insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke, individualised community care to a young person in the local area.
• Use trauma-informed communication to establish trust and support.
• Apply proactive de-escalation to manage deregulated moments.
• Foster growth, resilience and independence through daily activities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and collaborate with families and professionals.
