Job summary

Turning Point is seeking a Youth Support Worker to assist young people living in supported accommodation across Chorley, Lancashire. You will help them gain independent living skills, budgets, health and wellbeing, and access to education and employment opportunities.

The role involves managing referrals, creating action plans, and working with landlords on tenancy matters. A flexible, empathetic approach with strong teamwork is essential in this not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Social Care or equivalent (or evidenced equivalent training).
• Experience working with young people, homelessness, or transitions from care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, empathy and patience in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, sign up and move-on for young people.
• Develop, implement and review individual support plans and risk assessments.
• Provide budgeting help and daily living skills support.
• Keep accurate daily records for the young people.
