Responsibilities

• Building positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
• Helping young people develop practical independent living skills.
• Supporting with cooking, shopping, budgeting and meal planning.
• Helping young people understand bills, finances and managing money.
• Supporting with cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe home.
• Encouraging young people to manage their own routines and responsibilities.
• Supporting education, training and employment goals.
• Helping young people access appointments and community services.
• Supporting tenancy readiness and understanding responsibilities associated with independent accommodation.
• Encouraging positive decision-making and problem-solving.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence.
• Helping young people develop healthy routines and positive relationships.
• Encouraging community engagement and social opportunities.
• Supporting young people to work towards their individual goals and move-on plans.
• Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns.
• Following support plans, risk assessments and service procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records and providing clear handovers.
