Job description

Are you passionate about empowering young people to navigate challenges and reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker to provide guidance and support to young individuals in schools in Swindon. Whether you're looking for flexible work or a long-term role, this opportunity allows you to have a meaningful impact on the lives of young people. What You’ll Be Doing: • Engaging with young people, offering emotional and practical support. • Building positive relationships to help them develop confidence and resilience. • Supporting individuals with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. • Encouraging participation in educational and recreational activities. • Assisting with crisis intervention and conflict resolution when needed. • Liaising with teachers, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best support for each young person. • Helping to create a safe and inclusive environment for personal growth. What We’re Looking For: • A caring, patient, and motivated individual who is passionate about youth development. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport. • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. • Experience in youth work, social care, education, or mentoring is beneficial but not essential. • A proactive and adaptable approach to working with young people from diverse backgrounds. • Willingness to undergo training such as safeguarding and behaviour management.
