Job Description:

Classroom Based Youth Support Worker

Protocol Education invites applications for a full-time Classroom Based Youth Support Worker position at a respected school in Swindon, starting September 2024, with applications closing on Friday, 28th June. Part-time hours may be considered.

We seek compassionate, supportive, and dynamic individuals committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Experience working with SEND students in small groups or one-on-one settings, or relevant experience with children and young people, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized support strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create and deliver engaging activities to promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with students to overcome challenges.
  • Communicate updates and concerns to teachers and SEND teams professionally.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to work well within a team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Exude compassion, patience, and empathy towards SEND students.
  • Be ready to start at the earliest opportunity.
  • Previous experience advocating for students with additional needs is advantageous.
