The Youth Support Worker will work within a classroom alongside a dedicated behavioral support team, providing learning support to students in a SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) and EBD (Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties) pupil referral unit (PRU) in Chesterfield. Some students may also have needs such as ADHD, ODD, dyslexia, autism, mild learning difficulties, or anxiety, and follow an EHCP. The role involves engaging with young people aged 11–16 (KS3/4), either in small or larger groups, or on a 1:1 basis, through sports-based P.E lessons or classroom activities like food technology, literacy, and numeracy. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position.
