Youth Support Worker
Location: Cardiff
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (School Hours, Term Time Only)
Pay: £89.38 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time | Starting in September


We’re seeking Youth Support Workers to work in a specialist school setting in Cardiff, supporting young people aged 11–16 with challenging behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), and ALN (Additional Learning Needs).

This is the perfect opportunity for those with experience in youth work, education, or residential support, or anyone looking to start a fulfilling career in schools.

Job Role Includes:

  • 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and ALN
  • Supporting teachers with classroom management and engagement strategies
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Helping students build confidence, life skills, and social interaction
  • Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
