Working hours: Monday – Friday, term-time only, approximately 8.30am – 4pm

Youth Support Worker required for a welcoming school based in Bradford from January 2025.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups of up to 3-6 pupils across a range of key stages.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Individualised Plans: Work alongside teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Mentoring and Guidance: Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them build self-esteem and resilience.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the teaching and learning of vulnerable young adults and children.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a SEN or support setting.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively support our students.
  • Resilience and the ability to work with all levels of needs.
