Join Our Team as a Trauma-Informed Residential Youth Support Worker!

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £25,798 - £26,331 per annum (base salary). Potential earnings of £29,515.12 - £30,048.12 with sleep-ins and attendance allowance.

Shift Pattern: Earlies, Lates, Long days, and sleep-ins on a rotational schedule.

As a Residential Youth Support Worker in our children's homes, you will be a key part of a close-knit team committed to providing stability, guidance, and support for vulnerable young people. Your role will be to empower them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a trauma-informed setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with young people, helping them navigate complex emotions and behaviors.
  • Assist with daily routines, medication administration, and ensure the well-being of each young person.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities that foster a supportive atmosphere and promote healing.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and the best outcomes for the young people you support.

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for helping others: compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • Experience and dedication: previous experience providing emotional and behavioral support is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
  • Flexibility and resilience: ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the home.
  • Qualifications: willingness to work towards or hold a current qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
