Job summary

Monarch Education will partner with a primary academy in the M24 Middleton area of Rochdale to recruit youth and behaviour support assistants. You will aid in classroom delivery, lead intervention groups and provide educational, mental health, and emotional support to pupils.

The role offers temporary-to-permanent opportunities, with 8:30 am–3:30 pm hours, term time only. Competitive daily rate and flexible working arrangements are available through Monarch Education.

Qualifications

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional related references covering at least the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and run intervention groups.
• Support children in educational, mental health and emotional wellbeing aspects.
• Assist with behaviour support and SEND needs within the on-site provision.

Job description

Monarch Education will be working in close partnership with a Primary academy school in the M24 Middleton area of Rochdale. They are looking to recruit a selection of youth and behaviour support assistants, to support children in the classroom and offer educational, mental health and emotional support.

THE SCHOOL

The school is a friendly 2 form entry primary school with on -site provision for behaviour and SEND. It has fantastic transport links being close to the motorway, and is easily accessed by public transport and on-site parking is available. Staff are well trained and there is a great support structure in place for you to access.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Greater Manchester/Rochdale - M24 area
• Position - Youth Worker and behaviour support
• Type of work - Classroom support and Intervention groups
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary to Permanent
• Full time/part time available
• Minimum rate of pay - 95 per day (this can be negotiated with the school)
• Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm: Mon - Fri (term time only)
