Job summary

Encompass in Chirnside is seeking a kind, patient support worker for a 9-year-old girl with ASD/ADHD. You will help her find regular activities and accompany her to attend them regularly, ensuring safety and well-being.

Role includes personal care support if needed, sensitivity to textures, and frustration management. Flexible hours up to 3 hours weekly; mileage for social outings is reimbursed. Probation 6 months; PVG scheme membership required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a young person with ASD/ADHD.
• Understanding of texture sensitivities and food textures.
• Ability to support personal care if required.
• Ability to work in a home setting with privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support young person to stay safe and well during outings.
• Assist with personal care if required.
• Assist with general care and texture awareness during meals.
• Help identify and attend regular activities and provide ongoing support.
