Job summary

Wiltshire Council is recruiting a Restorative Justice Worker for the Youth Justice Service. The role involves liaising with victims, managing restorative justice assessments, and supporting vulnerable children and families to reduce risk and improve wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and training in Restorative Justice, with proven experience engaging with vulnerable children and strong knowledge of child development and exploitation risks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification combined with qualifications or training in Restorative Justice or comparable skills.
• Proven experience engaging with vulnerable children and knowledge of child and adolescent development.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with victims of youth crime and their families, providing information about the System, Court and out-of-Court processes.
• Manage the assessment of victims, children and others taking part in restorative justice processes, ensuring participation is safe and protects them from harm.
• Work with families and children involved in or at risk of entering the Youth Justice System.
