Job summary

Universal Care Group is seeking a Residential Support Worker for our Transitional Young People’s service (16-24) based in Birmingham. You will help young people experience childhood and adolescence, build self-esteem, and support their journey into adulthood.

You will assist with daily living, health and wellbeing, and safeguarding, while working closely with the team to provide stable, caring support during both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous residential care experience is essential.
• Ability to build positive relationships in challenging situations.
• Willingness to assist with domestic tasks and health/wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support in the home, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with daily living activities, including tidiness, meal preparation and personal care.
• Engage in recreational and educational activities to promote development.
• Administer medication as required and monitor health conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to address individual needs.
