YourRecruit Ltd in Milton Keynes is looking for a caring Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential home. You will support children and young people with daily routines, wellbeing and development in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will build positive relationships, assist with care plans, education and activities, and work as part of a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is preferred; safeguarding knowledge is essential, and strong

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably within children's residential care.
• A relevant Level 3 qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience supporting emotional or behavioural needs would be beneficial.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• The ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Support children and young people with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, activities and personal development.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
• Support care plans, routines, activities and independence.
• Provide emotional and practical support.
• Support with personal care and medication where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and use agreed strategies.
• Complete records, reports and handovers.
• Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Act as a Key Worker where required.
• Work as part of a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
