Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children in their care reach personal goals and build life skills within a home-from-home setting.

You will work full or part-time shifts, including nights and sleep-ins, to support daily tasks, organize activities, and maintain a safe, positive environment in children’s homes. Driving licence and visa status apply as described.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level.
• Experience of working with young people with complex needs.
• Familiarity with person-centred planning.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young people to achieve their personal wishes and goals
• Assisting with daily tasks and life skills
• Working towards aspirational outcomes for each child
• Meeting each child's needs in line with their individual care plan
