Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children in their care reach personal goals and build life skills within a home-from-home setting.

You will work full or part-time shifts, including nights and sleep-ins, to support daily tasks, organize activities, and maintain a safe, positive environment in children’s homes. Driving licence and visa status apply as described.

Qualifications

Job description

A residential support worker post across Devon County Council's children's homes, which care for young people with complex needs under Ofsted registration. The work centres on helping children reach personal goals, build life skills and take part in activities within a home-from-home setting. Posts run full or part time on a three-shift pattern covering days, late and overnight sleep-ins, with rotas currently under consultation. Fit depends on driving a own vehicle with a valid UK licence, and visa sponsorship is not offered.
