Job summary

Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) seeks a Youth Services Coordinator to lead Level Up SI, a trauma-informed program serving youth aged 12–17 on Staten Island. You will supervise Youth Engagement Specialists and ensure safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate programming.

Regular after-school, evening, and weekend availability is required; hours proposed are Tuesday through Saturday 12pm-8pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years working with adolescents or youth services.
• Experience coordinating programs and supervising staff or volunteers.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, recovery-oriented approaches.
• Ability to maintain boundaries, confidentiality, and respond to crises.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Availability after school, evenings, and Saturdays and able to complete required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations, staffing, schedules, groups, workshops, recreation, outings, supplies, technology, and readiness of the youth space.
• Maintain at least two trained youth-serving staff during operating hours and monitor attendance and capacity.
• Lead delivery of the 12-week curriculum covering peer relationships, digital wellness, creative arts, leadership, mindfulness, nutrition, and workforce readiness.
• Supervise, coach, and support Youth Engagement Specialists; coordinate onboarding, training, reflective supervision, staff development, and relief coverage.
• Ensure active supervision and compliance with youth protection, mandated reporting, confidentiality, and de-escalation practices.
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, activities, outreach, referrals, incidents, youth feedback, and required reports; collaborate with Data and Quality staff.
