Job summary

Greenshaw Learning Trust is recruiting a Mentor Support Worker for Henley Bank High School in Brockworth. The role supports students with attendance barriers, working with the SENCo to implement targeted plans and develop life skills.

You will attend multi-agency meetings, track progress, and maintain safeguarding compliance while delivering high-quality 1-2-1 and small group mentoring within the school day.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring skills are required.
• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C/4 or higher.
• A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification in relevant area.
• A qualification in management, working with children and young people or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENCo to identify barriers to attendance and address them.
• Support young people to develop essential life skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Develop individualised attendance plans and monitor progress.
• Attend meetings and prepare reports with progress evidence.
