Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Personal Advisor for a temporary position in Huyton, Merseyside. The role focuses on supporting care-experienced young people to access accommodation, education, training and employment opportunities, and to achieve positive outcomes for independent adulthood.

You will develop Pathway Plans, attend meetings, and work with partner agencies to coordinate practical and emotional support, ensuring client involvement in decision-making and resilience-building.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable young people, ideally within leaving care, children’s services, housing, youth support or a related environment.
• Ability to work in a people-centred way and coordinate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of care-experienced young people and develop/review Pathway Plans.
• Attend planning and review meetings and coordinate with partner agencies.
• Help young people access accommodation, education, training and employment.
• Empower young people to participate in decision-making and build independence.
