Job summary

Reed is seeking a part-time or full-time role to support learners aged 16-19 in Uxbridge. The role involves one-to-one and group learning support, mentoring and helping learners re-engage with education.

Qualifications

Experience supporting learners aged 16-19.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, empathetic and resilient.
Experience in education, training, mentoring, youth work or support setting.
Understanding safeguarding responsibilities and needs of vulnerable young people.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and group learning support to learners aged 16-19.
Support disengaged learners to re-engage positively.
Assist tutors in delivering classroom activities and learning programmes.
Encourage participation, attendance and positive behaviour.
Build positive relationships with learners as a mentor and role model.
Help learners develop confidence, resilience, communication and employability skills.
Support learners with social, emotional and wellbeing needs where appropriate.
Work with tutors, support staff and external agencies to ensure learners receive needed support.
