Job summary

Reed Further Education is recruiting a compassionate Learning Mentor to join a supportive educational environment. The role involves supporting learners with additional needs and providing personal care to help them access education and develop independence.

The post requires GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) and prior experience in education, care, or support settings, including delivery of personal care. Benefits include extensive annual leave, wellbeing services, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with learners and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to learners across a range of programmes.
• Assist learners with educational activities and engagement.
• Deliver personal and intimate care as required (toileting, feeding, menstrual care).
• Support learners with mobility and manual handling requirements.
• Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Work closely with teaching staff to ensure individual learner needs are met.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies at all times.
