Job summary

Doncaster Council is seeking a Youth Justice Officer (CDC) to join the Civic Office team in Doncaster on a full-time, permanent basis. The role involves trauma-informed, relationship-based practice with vulnerable young people, carrying out holistic assessments and creating bespoke plans while coordinating risk management and ensuring victims’ voices are heard.

The post requires flexibility, including weekend rota and evening work.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record within Youth Justice or related fields.

  • Sound understanding of risk assessment and case management.
  • Familiar with the Child First agenda and trauma-informed practice.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 37 Hours

Flexible working arrangements: Flexible working requests will be considered.

Candidates will have a sound understanding of risk assessment, case management and ensure the victim’s voice informs their approach. You’ll and be confident working in fast-paced, complex environments. You will be familiar with the Child First agenda and implement this within your day-to-day practice. You will be willing to work flexibly including being part of a weekend rota and working evenings as the job requires.
