Job summary

Keys Group is seeking Engage Mentors to deliver targeted interventions that support engagement, wellbeing, and re-entry into education for vulnerable young people in Cambridgeshire. You will work in community and educational settings delivering one-to-one sessions to help build resilience and safer life choices.

The role requires experience with safeguarding, SEND knowledge, and the ability to travel across Cambridgeshire.

Qualifications

Experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
Experience supporting those at risk of exploitation or criminal involvement.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of SEND, trauma-informed practice, and positive behaviour strategies.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one interventions in community and educational settings.
Support young people to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
Deliver sessions on healthy relationships, online safety, and county lines awareness.
Use creative approaches to manage risk and promote positive decisions.
Build trusting relationships with young people and families.
Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Maintain accurate records and produce detailed professional reports.
Support pathways that enable young people to re-engage with education.
Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure all work is compliant with current legislation.
