Job summary

IRIS Recruitment in Greater Manchester is hiring an Assistant Supported Housing Worker (Greenbank) to support young people aged 16–25 in Trafford. The role offers full- and part-time hours across a 7:45am–8:10pm rota, with weekends on a rotation, and no sleep-in duties required.

Salary is £25,335.77 per annum (FTE) plus LOBH allowance. The role requires Enhanced DBS and the ability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays; full-time and part-time options are available to cover shifts in a

Qualifications

Strong communication, interpersonal, numerical and IT skills.
Experience of carrying out administrative and record-keeping tasks.
Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
Ability to use authority appropriately and manage challenging situations.
Ability to build positive working relationships with clients, families, colleagues and partner agencies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience of working with young people would be advantageous.
Enthusiasm for learning, training and professional development.

Responsibilities

Support and promote young people aged 16 to 25 to access and engage in meaningful activities.
Provide administrative support to the project team.
Use a person-centred approach to help customers build life skills, relationships and sound decisions.
Use coaching and strengths-based approaches to help customers engage in education, training, employment, volunteering and sport.
