Job summary

IRIS Recruitment is seeking a Supported Housing Project Worker (Greenbank) in Greater Manchester to join a not-for-profit housing association providing housing-related support to young people aged 16 to 25. You will work 35 hours per week on a rota spanning 7:45am–8:10pm, including some weekends, with no sleep-in duties required.

Qualifications

• Experience in working within a supported housing environment or relevant social care setting.
• Experience of supporting young people or vulnerable adults with multiple support needs.
• Knowledge of needs of young people and vulnerable adults.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, professional boundaries and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Using a person-centred approach to enable customers to develop independent living skills and move on to permanent accommodation.
• Helping customers access work, training or education and develop resilience.
• Applying coaching and strengths-based approaches to empower customers to overcome barriers.
• Involvement in housing management tasks including rent collection, repairs reporting, and health and safety.
