Job summary

Inspire North in Scarborough is seeking a Housing Support Assistant to help young people aged 18-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to develop skills, confidence and resilience for independent living.

You’ll work across dispersed accommodation, build positive relationships, deliver practical support, access to education and employment, and contribute to personalised plans with Housing Support Workers. The role offers flexible hours and additional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Able to build and maintain positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience of working with, or a good understanding of, vulnerable young people.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to access education, employment, training and community opportunities.
• Deliver life-skills activities and accompanying them to important appointments.
• Work with Housing Support Workers to deliver personalised support plans.
• Promote independence and ensure young people are safe, supported and empowered.
