Inspire North is seeking a Housing Support Worker in Selby to help individuals with complex needs rebuild their lives and sustain tenancies. You will deliver tailored community support, assess risks, and coordinate plans with partners to reduce reoffending and improve housing outcomes.
The role involves building professional relationships, safeguarding, and supporting accommodation placements. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred, with flexible working options offered.
Are you passionate about helping people rebuild their lives and achieve lasting independence?
At Inspire North, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live safely, independently and with dignity. As a Housing Support Worker within our Selby Resettlement and Community Safety Scheme (RACSS), you'll support individuals with a history of offending who are supervised by the National Probation Service. Through practical support, guidance and encouragement, you'll help people overcome barriers, sustain tenancies, reduce the risk of reoffending and successfully reintegrate into their communities.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll provide tailored one-to-one housing-related support in the community, working closely with clients to identify their goals and develop the skills and confidence needed to live independently. You'll build positive and professional relationships, carry out support and risk assessments, coordinate support plans, and act as a key link between clients and partner agencies.
You will also play an important role in supporting accommodation placements, tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention, safeguarding, and property management activities, helping ensure clients have access to safe and suitable housing.
At Inspire North, we know that when people feel supported, appreciated and encouraged to be themselves, they can do amazing things – and we want you to be part of that.
We proudly embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive, anti-racist environment where everyone can thrive by being their true self. Join us in driving this important agenda forward and help shape a workplace where all voices are valued!
If you’re ready to use your skills to help others succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
