Job summary

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council through The Bridge Project is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Practitioner (Children and Young People) in Bradford. The role supports adolescents aged 11–17 affected by domestic abuse, within a safeguarding-led framework and multi-agency planning.

It requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance, plus enhanced DBS. The post is 22.5 hours per week over three days (Mon-Tue-Wed) and has temporary status funded by grants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people aged 11–17.
• Ability to work within a safeguarding-led framework.
• Strong communication, collaboration and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Receive referrals from Bradford RESET Family Workers and identify young people within families engaged in the programme.
• Provide developmentally appropriate support for adolescents affected by domestic abuse.
• Work within a whole-family approach, linked to safeguarding and multi-agency planning.
