Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is recruiting a Youth Activity Worker to deliver high quality youth work opportunities for young people aged 12-25 in Annandale & Eskdale. The role is Band 2 with a fixed part-time schedule of 2 hours per week, and you will join a friendly team dedicated to putting young people at the heart of everything we do.

You will create safe, welcoming spaces; run sessions from drop-ins to outdoor activities; support personal development and champion youth voice.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, safe, welcoming spaces where young people feel valued, heard, and included.
• Deliver engaging youth work sessions—from drop-ins to outdoor activities, workshops, and events.
• Support young people's personal and social development, building confidence, resilience, and leadership.
• Champion youth voice, encouraging youth to shape services that matter to them.
