Job summary

South Thames College invites applications for a Youth Worker to join the Student Support team. The role involves contributing to a wide-ranging enrichment programme, delivering workshops and activities for students aged 16–19, and working with staff and external partners to support college life and wider community engagement.

Ideal candidates will have an A Level 3 qualification related to Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Health & Social Care, plus strong IT and

Qualifications

Hands-on experience delivering workshops and tutorials to 16–19-year-olds.
Strong IT skills to market and record service provision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff and stakeholders.
Experience safeguarding cohorts and coordinating with student support services.

Responsibilities

Deliver or support enrichment activities for large groups of students.
Organise and coordinate activities to engage students with college life and the wider community.
Oversee safeguarding cohort as part of the Student Support Services division.
