Job summary

Cornwall Council is recruiting 1 Full-time Youth Engagement Officer to work within the Youth Engagement provision (YEP) to deliver interventions for 16-24 NEET individuals, helping them access education, employment or training.

The role focuses on wraparound support, action plans, collaboration with employers, and guiding participants into mainstream opportunities, with emphasis on those facing barriers due to SEND, SEMH and health conditions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working with 16-24 NEET individuals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and support young people facing barriers to employment or engagement in training.
• Create personalised action plans with participants to help them overcome barriers to entry into the workforce.
• Collaborate with employers and skills sectors to identify opportunities aligned with local needs.
• Provide thorough follow-up with participants and employers to ensure sustained progress.
