Job summary

AKG (UK) Employment Ltd is seeking a Service Manager to lead the delivery of a youth employability contract across the region. You will oversee pre-employment preparation, in-work support and progression planning to help young people secure funded roles and sustain progress.

You will manage daily contract delivery, monitor performance, drive improvements, and coach delivery teams to ensure high-quality, participant-centred services while complying with DWP requirements and AKG policies.

Qualifications

• Experienced operational leader with contract management in employability/public funding.
• Clear commitment to helping young people access and sustain employment.
• Strong people management to lead front-line delivery teams in a target-driven environment.
• Understanding of participant-centred support, action planning and barrier removal.
• Experience using management information to monitor performance and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead local delivery of high-quality employment support for eligible young people.
• Manage day-to-day contract delivery, performance against targets and compliance.
• Use management information to monitor performance and report progress to Head of Operations.
• Coach delivery colleagues to provide consistent, participant-centred support.
• Develop relationships with employers and local partners to source funded opportunities.
