Job summary

AKG UK is seeking a Team Leader to inspire, supervise and hold Mentors accountable for delivering an effective participant journey that supports young people into sustainable work. You will oversee day-to-day delivery, drive performance against targets and collaborate with employers and partners.

You will conduct regular coaching, monitor caseloads, support recruitment and induction of new staff, and build strong relationships with Jobcentre Plus, local employers and training providers to

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching colleagues in employability or youth services.
• Strong performance management with target delivery and quality assurance.
• Ability to interpret management information and performance reports.
• Proven ability to build relationships with Jobcentre Plus, employers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mentors and Programme Co-ordinators to deliver the contract and support young people into sustainable work.
• Monitor caseloads, set expectations and drive progression from engagement to job start.
• Ensure a structured participant journey with action planning and employer engagement.
• Conduct regular coaching, one-to-one meetings, and performance reviews.
• Develop staff through observations and feedback to improve delivery and compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to maximise opportunities.
