Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 practitioner to work in the Children and Young People\'s Eating Disorders Day Service. The role involves direct care for young people with moderate to severe eating disorders, helping with meals, routines and group therapies.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, provide support to families, participate in therapy sessions under supervision, and contribute to a safe, structured environment while pursuing ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Training in mental health, safeguarding or child development.
• Willingness to undertake further training relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, mealtimes and structured therapeutic activities.
• Provide practical and emotional support to young people and families in line with individual care plans.
• Assist in therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions under supervision of qualified staff.
• Promote recovery, independence and positive coping strategies.
• Observe, monitor and report changes in presentation, behaviour or physical health to senior staff.
• Help create and maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for service users and families.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and engagement in therapeutic programmes.

Education
