Pertemps Tm is seeking a Youth Development Worker in Bristol to support young people aged 16-25 in a housing environment. The role offers 37 hours per week within a 12-week temporary contract that can go permanent, with DBS checks required or Update Service membership encouraged.

Job description

JOB TITLE:

Youth Development Worker

LOCATION:

SALARY:

£15.34/hr

DURATION:

12 weeks temp to go to perm

PLEASE NOTE:

due to the urgency of this role, it is essential that anyone put forward for this role has a full, current Enhanced DBS or is part of the Update Service

The Role:
  • v Supporting young people (16-25years) in a Key Worker role.
  • v Providing and updating action plans and risk assessments
  • v Offering young people in supported accommodation encouragement to achieve dreams
  • v Being part of an on site team supporting young residents with their living needs
  • v Ensuring young people are supported in developing life skills to be able to move into the community
  • v Lead and support group activities as part of our learning program, forming a sense of community and engagement.
The Candidate will need:
  • v A drive to find solutions in supporting young people with a range of backgrounds
  • v An understanding of young people’s needs and interests, allowing appropriate actions plans to be made
  • v A passion for providing immediate care and support for young people with safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues
  • v Having a resilient and flexible nature when dealing with others
  • v Being able to work under pressure while producing support plans and meeting deadlines
  • v Happy to work alone or in a team environment.
  • v A positive, creative approach, with a can-do attitude whilst maintaining professional boundaries
  • v To hold a valid driving licence
SUMMARY:

This role is being offered on a full time, Temporary basis

Working hours to 37 a week, Mon to Fri with one weekend in four.

Shift work mix of 8 till 4, 10 till 6, 12 till 8pm

An enhanced DBS adult and child needs to be already held
