Job summary

Aberdeen Foyer is seeking a Development Coach to lead the King’s Trust Team Programme in Aberdeen. This 12-week initiative supports young people aged 16–25 not in education, employment or training.

You’ll deliver group sessions, provide one‑to‑one support, coordinate work placements and outdoor activities to help learners gain qualifications and move forward. You’ll be positive, creative, organised and passionate about supporting young people.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering group learning, employability, youth work or personal development activities.
  • Confident supporting and motivating young people with different experiences, abilities and support needs.
  • Creative and able to make learning practical, engaging and inclusive.
  • Organised and able to manage programme delivery, learner records and competing priorities.
  • Good digital skills and confident communicator.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel; PVG membership required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging group sessions, provide one‑to‑one support, coordinate work placements and outdoor activities.
  • Help learners achieve their goals and gain recognised qualifications.
  • Support outdoor activities and travel as required, building positive relationships with learners.
