Job summary

Waythrough seeks a Complex Needs Practitioner to support young people aged 17–25 in Birmingham. You will work within the Young People’s Team, using a person-centred approach to reduce risk and build skills for positive change.

Role involves collaboration with health, social care, education and criminal justice partners, and offers a rewarding path to help vulnerable individuals achieve safer, healthier, independent lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care preferred.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with young people.
• Empathy, energy and belief in potential of young people.

Responsibilities

• Work with young people using a person-centred, strengths-based approach to identify goals and develop resilience.
• Support young people aged 17–25 with substances misuse, mental health issues and complex needs.
• Build trusting relationships and provide tailored interventions across community and multi-agency settings.
• Respond to referrals from health, social care, education and criminal justice services.
• Promote a positive, strengths-based approach ensuring right support at the right time.
