Job summary

Tai Pawb is recruiting a Part-time (32hrs) Complex Needs Project Worker in the Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire. You will support the Manager with goal plans for Young People and advise on re-housing options, while coordinating referrals with our resettlement team.

You will liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, and other partners to support clients and promote mental health recovery and treatment for substance misuse where applicable.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role or equivalent training or qualification.
• Experience of working with Young People.
• A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible.
• An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
• A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
• Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations and lone work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager with facilitating Young Person goal plans and engage with clients.
• Make referrals to other agencies for temporary and permanent accommodation with the resettlement team.
• Liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, Resettlement Worker, Health and Safety and other agencies.
• Promote mental health recovery and seek treatment for substance misuse where applicable.
