Job summary

Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is seeking a Female Complex Care Support Worker (Care Expert) to join a 2:1 team supporting one young person with complex health needs. Role spans home, school and community settings during term time and holidays.

You will receive thorough training, induction and ongoing clinical support, with opportunities to progress into senior or coordinating roles within the Care Experts team. 20–37 hours per week available.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care, or with PEG feeding, suctioning, or seizure management.
• Ability to read body language and use alternative communication methods.
• Willingness to train in specialist skills and follow a detailed care plan.

Responsibilities

• Support one young person with complex health and communication needs at home, school and in the community.
• Assist with personal care, practical tasks and emotional wellbeing.
• Read body language and use alternative communication so they are understood.
• Follow the care plan and maintain clear, accurate records.
• Promote safety, independence and daily decision-making, in partnership with family and professionals.
