Job summary

Together Housing Group in Calderdale is seeking an experienced Community Programmes Coordinator to lead youth and community programmes across Calderdale. You will provide leadership to frontline teams, manage partnerships with community groups and funders, and ensure programmes deliver meaningful outcomes for young people and residents.

The role combines people leadership, project management and service development, with a strong focus on safeguarding, budgets and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience of community development, youth work or delivering community-based programmes.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing staff within a service delivery environment.
• Strong partnership-building skills with statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations.
• Experience of managing budgets, funding requirements and performance targets.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices relating to young people and vulnerable adults.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team delivering youth and community programmes across Calderdale.
• Ensure projects achieve agreed outcomes, contractual targets and quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with community groups, funders and stakeholders.
• Manage project performance, monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance service delivery and participant outcomes.
• Manage project and contract budgets, ensuring income and expenditure are monitored.
• Identify and secure new funding opportunities to support service sustainability and growth.
• Ensure high-quality engagement and support to participants, tenants and community members.
• Promote Newground Together’s services and social impact across local communities.
• Support staff development through coaching, supervision, training and performance management.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR and organisational policies are observed.
• Oversee safe operation of community venues and hubs used to deliver services.
• Represent Newground Together professionally at meetings, events and partnership forums.
