Job summary

Carers First is a charity in the UK that supports unpaid carers by providing information, advice and tailored support. The role involves leading and coordinating services with schools and voluntary organisations to help young carers, performing assessments, planning and facilitating workshops to boost wellbeing and confidence.

The location is flexible and candidates must be able to work from community venues with some out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally with vulnerable groups or carers.
• Understanding of young carers and their issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating services in partnership with local schools and voluntary organisations to provide support and group activities for young carers.
• Assessments, planning and facilitating workshops to improve wellbeing and confidence.
