BCP Council is seeking a motivated Careers Adviser to help vulnerable young people progress into education, employment, apprenticeships and training. You will monitor participation and destinations, identify NEET risks, and coordinate targeted interventions to improve outcomes.

You will provide impartial guidance, maintain records, and work with schools and partners to promote positive futures for Year 12 and 13 learners.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, including those facing participation barriers.
• Knowledge of post-16 and post-18 pathways, including FE, apprenticeships, training and employment opportunities.
• Experience of providing careers guidance, employability support or targeted interventions for young people.

Responsabilités

• Track, monitor and record participation and destination data for Year 12 and Year 13 young people.
• Identify young people at risk of becoming NEET and implement targeted interventions.
• Maintain contact with NEETs and provide personalised action plans to re-engage them with education, employment or training.
• Deliver impartial careers information, advice and guidance through one-to-one appointments, group sessions and outreach activities.
• Collaborate with schools, colleges, training providers, employers and partner agencies to promote positive destinations.
• Use data to identify trends, monitor risk and drive service improvement.
• Support local authority responsibilities relating to participation and tracking of destinations.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with data protection and information governance requirements.
