Job summary

Kibble is seeking a Child and Youth Care Worker to provide direct care to children and young people with complex needs in a residential setting in Scotland. You will support admissions, care planning and safer outcomes, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

Role requires experience with young people and safeguarding, plus SVQ3 or HNC in Social Care. PVG scheme registration and SCM training are expected. A three-month probation applies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or vulnerable people is essential.
• Residential childcare experience is desirable.
• Willingness to register with the PVG Scheme and complete SCM training.

Responsibilities

• Direct work with children and young people in a residential setting.
• Manage admission and court/child protection processes as part of placement.
• Maintain placement plans, records and reports in line with centre requirements.
• Liaise with social workers, educational professionals and families to support targets.
