Job summary

Kibble Education and Care Centre is offering a 12-month temporary Trainee Child and Youth Care Worker role. You will work with children and young people in trauma-informed ways across residential, community, or other settings, with day and night shifts available.

The programme includes supervision and training, aims to develop communication, safeguarding, and care planning skills, and requires commitment, resilience, and the ability to engage families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed approach tailored to each child or young person.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Full driving licence is desirable for transport duties.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children and young people in varied settings.
• Collaborate with parents/carers and external agencies to support care plans.
• Maintain welfare, rights, and wellbeing of young people at all times.
• Participate in training and supervision with a workplace mentor.
