Job summary

Clayfields House, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, is seeking Relief Assistant Practitioners to support up to 20 young people aged 10-18 with complex needs.

You will engage with young people, plan activities, support daily living skills, and work with a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing environment. This role offers induction, supervision, training, generous leave, wellbeing support and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months experience of working with children and young people.
• Understanding of physical, emotional, and mental health needs of vulnerable young people.
• Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a challenging environment.
• Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries while providing support.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with young people to encourage personal development and well-being.
• Planning and delivering enriching activities and supporting daily life skills.
• Collaborating with a team to create a safe and nurturing environment.
• Acting as a positive role model to our young people.
• Covering shifts due to Annual Leave and other absences.
