Job summary

Yorkshire Food Guide is seeking a talented writer based in Yorkshire to create SEO-optimized content for our region’s restaurants, events, and offers. You will write long-form guides and short-form newsletter copy, travelling to shoots and presenting on camera when needed.

You will use AI tools for research, planning, editing and optimisation while maintaining YFG’s voice and engaging, friendly tone. Hybrid working with regular regional travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in Journalism, English, Media or related discipline is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Write SEO-optimised long-form and short-form content for websites and emails
• Research trending topics and news to inform content plans
• Perform keyword research to inform content strategy
• Create content for client campaigns (features/reviews) and social channels
• Use AI tools to support research, planning, editing and optimisation across platforms
• Attend shoots and support events, including presenting on camera when needed
• Manage LinkedIn and other social content to drive engagement
